Great Microwave -- When it works!

We are on our 4th microwave of this particular model. The 1st one did not work out of the box. The replacement we received work several months before the door button began working inconsistently. We received a replacement under the warranty. The local authorized service center told me it would be fixable if Whirlpool provided repair parts. The third microwave we received under the warranty, after several months, no longer heated food. However the unit would get very very hot on the top outside of the unit. So far the 4th replacement it working quite well. Thank goodness for Whirlpool standing behind their warranty.

Was glad to find Whirlpool made a microwave that would fit in my built-in area that doesn't have as much depth as many microwaves require. That, and it's available in white, which many brands don't seem to carry. The interior is easy to clean. I like the 'add 30 seconds' feature. Or hit it twice for a minute, and so on. Comes in handy because (and my reason for 4 stars): Although there are several menu buttons, only the Dinner Plate and Fresh/Frozen Vegetable have sensor cooking. The rest are non-sensor. So for something like the Soup feature, a 16 oz can requires added cooking time.

My new Whirlpool Microwave is my right arm ! I use it multiple times each day ! If I had to choose between my stove and my microwave , I'd choose the microwave ! It's so versatile with it numerous functions like : thawing , warming , cooking , etc. ! It's the best appliance in my kitchen !

Had for short time but so far I like. Little smaller than the Panasonic I had but still looks good in cabinet build for it. Seems to cook a little faster than old one but I also like that. Controls are easy to use once I fiqured out it did not have a Start or Cancel button. I like the preset buttons for pizza, pop corn etc.. Would recommend to friend!

The previous 2 Whirlpool Microwaves developed rust inside the machines unlike other brand name Microwave I still have. I bought this China made Whirlpool brand again as I have limited space in the location due to the trim in kitchen cabinet. If this one also develops rust, I will not buy any Whirlpool brand again.

Great looking, easy to use, powerful microwave. It is a very nice machine but the downside is when it is done it beeps and beeps. Opening it doesn't stop the beeps until they complete all the beeps. We had to move it to not wake our son every morning before we go to work. If you don't have to worry about the completion beep noise it is great!

I returned this product because of the annoying beeping. It worked very well otherwise. I contacted Whirlpool to see if there was a mute or some way to eliminate some of the sounds. No luck. One sequence had 5 beeps at the end. Most other brands have one or two at most. If the sound does not bother you this is a very nice oven.

I bought this microwave after my 20 year old Whirlpool microwave stopped working. I am very happy with this purchase but the button is very stiff to open. Hopefully time will cause it to loosen up. Miss the baked goods button but love the sensor cooking and is very quiet!

This microwave turns out to be exactly what we need. Nice, clear operating instructions and slightly smaller footprint in our kitchen. Handles the largest cookware we typically use which is a nice feature. I chose white and the clean lines of the unit itself make it actually nice to look at. We trust the Whirlpool name and have several of their products.

Does everything we need it to do. Works well. The only thing I don't care for is opening the door. I would prefer a handle versus using the pushbutton. Pushing the button hard enough to open slides the oven on the countertop.
