Frigidaire 60-Pint Dehumidifier the best unit on the Market!!

I wanted to write this review before the solicitation. There isn't enough honest reviews of dehumidifiers out there. And the understanding of what's important in the design of the unit is also vague. So reviews by actual users is very important to make a good buying decision for consumers out there. Everyone situation is different and what efficiency/moisture removal they need from the dehumidifier is also different. I have purchased 4 Dehumidifiers since I moved into my house in 2022. They have all Failed. The Frigidaire 60 Pint Dehumidifier is the best I have ever had, hands down! I have 7000 gallons of indoor ponds and aquatic systems. So my dehumidifier is the core of the entire system. Without it, I cannot have my Fish, Turtles and my life's hobby. When I got this model I immediately wanted to see the quality that it was built with. So, I started and looked at the most important part the compressor and compared to my previous units. The compressor is high quality copper! Look at the photos and see the gold sheen coming from the Frigidaire! The other model was clearly built using a lower grade metal (Aluminum) which is far less efficient than copper and uses more energy. My dehumidifier runs 24/7 non stop, so I needed this unit to be a workhorse. The other units from other companies have failed, with the longest making it 1 year and 4 months. My personal favorite feature of this unit is the Turbo Fan which is the default option for the Cont. Drain selection which mine will be set too forever as I said my dehumidifier runs 24/7. That's how much moisture is in the air in my pond room. The turbo fan selection showcases this units incredible blower speed and massive CFM's which is very important to move vast quantities of air over the compressor to reach it's maximum efficiency and moisture removal. Which for me is crucial. Please take a look at the pictures and video to see my set up and the dehumidifier in action. My only negatives are these. 1.The unit is very large and has a significant footprint. Understandable given it's powerful features and superior moisture removal. But you need to have a suitable space that can protect the unit from foot traffic and house it. 2. I operate my dehumidifier 24/7 on cont. drain(turbo fan) nonstop. So the energy usage is extremely important to me. The unit was rated at 428 watts. I plugged mine into a watt meter that I have to test all my aquatic system appliances to ensure efficiency and keep my electric bill sustainable. The unit consistently runs between 525-555 watts in the setting I am using it. That's a substantial amount of juice required to power this unit and will cost me about $50 per month to run this unit 24/7. It is worth it to me and that is a cost that I factor into my budget. But for some people that can make or break this unit's suitability. The powerful features this unit has is the reason why the wattage is high. It definitely requires high performance electronics to power the advanced compressor and the high speed blower fan. So just something you have to consider. In conclusion. If you are considering this unit for your situation. I can attest this unit will impress you no matter what your residential dehumidification needs are. Believe me. If this unit can operate successfully in my set up/environment it is the pinnacle of design and durability. Thank you.

I would have given it a 5-star review, but it's not quite like many reviews here state.

We had moisture like never before on our windows and patio door. I got a quote for an air exchange unit which would™™ve been $4000.00. I bought the 60 pint dehumidifier and it reduced the moisture in the house from 50% to 40% which keeps the moisture off the glass and no static electricity. The unit cost just over $400.00. I™™m very happy with the results

Great dehumidifier! Great customer service. My first unit failed within 2 months of purchase but was quickly replaced under warranty. Very easy process! I would buy another again.

Seems to do a decent job of efficiently removing moisture from my new but relatively large basement. The previous one didn™™t last 2 years, so I™™m hoping this one lasts a bit longer

My 60 pt dehumidifier failed just before the warranty expired. Frigidaire customer service approved a warranty replacement but was incapable of shipping a replacement. I was given 5 separate shipping dates, promised tracking numbers and did not receive a single one. I will never buy another Frigidaire, Whirlpool, or Electrolux product. Even if my experience is unusual, it is not worth it to me to spend so much time on the phone to procure a replacement.

Four stars only because it's too early to tell how long it will last.I've only had this unit for a week so it's FAR TOO EARLY to speak to its longevity, but so far this unit is working great. As shown in the photo it is much larger then our previous Kenmore 251.50701012.With this summer's heat, our basement humidity had been on the rise, evidently our old dehumidifier quit working. When we installed this unit the basement humidity was at 65% and climbing but in less than 2 days we were maintaining 50% humidity. When this unit is running with the turbo fan on it pulls 4 amps, 456 watts. Initially we emptied the bucket every 12 hours for the first 24-48 hours or so. Now we only empty the bucket every 3 or 4 days. Currently I would recommend this unit, but as I said, it's far too early to tell how long it will last. My previous dehumidifier lasted 12 years. Let's see if this Frigidaire can match that!!!
